Ah, Easter. To me, it's a nice holiday if you have a family and kids around, but if you don't, it's just another excuse to spend money. Now, don't get me wrong; I like the thought of it; everyone gathering and having dinner and chocolate and stuff, while kids are playing and hunting for eggs and such.
But I never did like how Easter always falls on a different day each year. Doesn't very much make sense, does it? It's supposed to be the day that Jesus Christ came back from the dead (but he's not a zombie... or superman.), so why does the actual day change every year, hmmm? If some smarty-pants egg-head wants to explain that to me, feel free, because I don't like it one bit.
But I digress.
Today, and, actually the past couple of days, have been so-so. Car troubles? Check. Girl troubles? Check. School troubles? Check (about two thousand times). But I was able to make some more of them changes I've been wanting to make. For instance, I rejoined the gym. And, yes, I've gone since rejoining. I'm also taking advatage of my time away from work by enjoying myself.
And not in a gross way, you perverts.
Thursday nite, Xavier and I went out for a bit, since it was the only time we were both free before he left for Ecuador (he's gone for one month). We headed over to Barnes and Nobles, where he picked up a couple of books, and then we went and had some delicious sushi. Afterwards, we stopped by Christian's for a bit, where it turned out everyone was getting together to discuss the new book we're going to work on to submit to Image Comics. I could only stay for a little while, as I had to work the next morning, but it was good seeing everyone.
Friday nite was a little different. I had planned on going to this album release party, but there was no one around, so I did the more practical thing and went food shopping and to the gym. It feels SO good to be back in there. I haven't made up my new work out routine yet, so I've just been doing cardio, abs, and push-ups.
Saturday, after work, Denry and I went down to the Coral Ridge Mall, where I continued my search for sweater vests, to no avail... However, I did get a nice new hat, to compliment my nice new haircut... After that, Alex and I grabbed some food at Denny's, and then came back to my house, where Alex tried out the Star Wars Episode III game. After that? INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE. Because I'm on THAT trip right now.
Today, so far, has been more relaxing. I slept in a bit (which never happens!), went to the gym, and then to the pool down the street, where I layed out for about an hour and a half. I'm trying to become a nice golden-brown! But, now, it's time to get to work... I have an art project due tomorrow nite, but I want to reorganize in here first. The teacher is a little weird when it comes to what he wants, but it's coo... I have an idea on how to "cheat" a little. Cross your fingers for me!
Anyhoo, I'm outta here. Hope you all have a good Easter Sunday, filled with lots of good food! Save me some!
