What do you guys think about the recent nomination of harriet miers for a supreme court judgeship? She has never been a judge which is more appalling than john roberts' miniscule two years. She's a member of the white house counsel and one of bush's close associates. And very much like roberts, we don't know a damn thing about her. O'connor has been the essential swing vote in cases concerning abortion and the right to choose, and now that she is retired, the chances of getting a pro-choice vote in the upcoming case of Ayotte v. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England could be slim.
