The sun can play tricks on you sometimes, creating illusions, bending light, shifting it. Illusions caused by the sun, and water in the air have been known to show up miles and miles away from their source, through means no one really understands.

Or almost no one.

But Raymond Terrill has spent a lot of time thinking about these things, and about what he is. So, it is probably not surprising that he is out, today, testing his powers, bending light and trying to see what there is to, well, see.

Projecting illusions is fun, and brings a smile to his face, but the question he is really interested in, is can he project himself the same way? After all, he turns into a being of coherent light. And that is what his illusions are. So....

He decides, after chasing the idea around and around that there is only one way to find out' testing.

So, it is exactly that reason that he is out, soaring high into the sky today and soaking in as much sunlight as he can, letting himself fill with power. And he does, glowing brighter and brighter, growing almost, until he feels like he will burst. Then, with a sensation like grinding teeth, he holds on while he weaves the shifting, which normally he would use to cast an illusion, but instead of other light, he uses himself.

There is a straining feel, a feel like he is being stretched impossibly thin, impossibly wide. It grows to the point of pain, and beyond and he tries to scream, but he cant, as he feels every piece of him starts to shatter, shred, and fade.

And then, there is a jolt, a shock, and then solidity of weight, as he slams into the ground, knees bruising and his whole body aching like he had gone three rounds with Superman.

He groans as he pushes himself up, looking up at a wall, where the word Eden stretches out, then looking around... at an utterly unfamiliar street. Geez! Where did he end up this time? His body tingles, and aches, and he shakes his head carefully, before speaking.

"Where the Hell am I?"
