Toph never made it up to the roof with everyone else; once she hit the second floor she ducked into an empty room to ride the fight out. She heard the commotion going on up on the roof as the creatures fought against the others, from where she was crouched between the wall and the bed, away from the only window.
Yes she, Toph "The Blind Bandit" Beifong, hid. Wanna make something of it? But she's not going to openly admit that to anybody.
The difficulty she'd had Earthbending against those two things...it had her worried and, though she'd be loathe to admit it, frightened. Toph had never 'Bended that poorly, not even in Apocalyptica. And the earth there was sicker than it was here!
So now there's a morose blind girl wandering out of a second floor room to find out what's going on now that the fight's over.
Anyone care to bring her up to speed?
