Barbara has managed to scrounge up a sort of medical kit, and is now stopping by all the places she knows people stay and all the places they're likely to stay (at least the ones she can get to; stupid roofs). There were some nasty wounds from the fight, and she's betting that some of the injured don't really know how to take care of the things.

Cass is in the bar. She found a high grade proof of alcohol that she has already poured on the wound and if Barbara times it right it may look like Cass is about to stitch up her side herself when she enters.

"I know you can handle that, but you want me to do it? The stitches will be neater that way."

Cass looked up at Barbara and nodded for her to take over. She raised her arm over her head so that Barbara could have better access.

"You okay?"

"No injuries." It's not that Barbara doesn't know that avoiding the question isn't something she can do very well around Cass, it's just a habit. The truth is she's doing pretty badly, she hates feeling useless.

"Not what I meant," Cass replied.

Like you can hide things from someone whose first language was body language.

Barbara sighs, "I know. I just hate feeling useless." She grins, "So let me do the stitches?"

"Please," Cass said with a nod. "Everyone okay?"

A small spool of silk thread and a needle are extracted from Barbara's kit and she waves Cass over. "No one took an injury worse than yours. At least not that I've seen so far." She sighs, "We're too disorganized. I don't know if we'll survive another attack."

Cass moved over to Barbara and sat on a table so she could have easy access to her wound. "Then organize," she replied.

Of course it seems simple to her.

With some people Barbara might be worried that they'd flinch when she started stitching, but she doubts Cass even consciously notices the pain. "Working on it. I don't think I'd really realized how much I relied on all my equipment back home. I feel like I'm working with only one arm."

Cass doesn't flinch as Barbara begins to sew. Her mind flashes back to the "game" Cain used to play with her. "Two for flinching" was much more than a child's game for Cass.

"Back to basics then," Cass replies as she watches Mel at the window dragging bodies to the fire. "Like when we first worked to-ge-ther."

Ahhh. When Gotham was a no man's land. Good times.

Barbara knows, she's seen the scars. And despite her careful stitching, this is likely to be another one for the collection.

"That brings back memories," Barbara smiles. At least we don't seem to have organized criminal gangs wandering around out there." She nods, "We'll make it work." Somehow.

"What do you need?" Cass asked. "Equipment? Space?"

She may not understand that this place can't provide her with the equipment she had as Oracle.

"I can find space, but most of the equipment I really want isn't going to be found around here. Cameras, recon satellites, alarm systems, serious communications gear." She shrugs, "I don't even have the gear I had during the quake."

Cass nodded and being careful not to move her side while Barb was stitching her up she removed something from her utility belt.

"Com-mun-ni-cat-shuns," she said holding up her comm device. "Robin and Spoiler have theirs maybe? Link others?"

Barbara smiles, "Good plan. And now that we've got power up and running around here we can probably keep them charged." She sighs, "It's a start, and it's better than nothing."

With a shrug she shifts mental gears, "Did you get a chance to watch the others during the fight?"
