Back home I might stay home for days at a time, but that's because I could get so much more done there. Here... Well, I don't have any tools to work with. I go looking for them. Not because I expect to find a working computer, but because I can't do nothing.
A couple of days living in a place not designed to help offset the disadvantages of having no legs means that Barbara's looking a bit rough. Tired, perhaps a bit disheveled, but still mostly in control.
The first thing she does when she rolls out of the building is look up and down the street. The second thing she does is check the roofs.
After going back to her usual post up on the roof, Cass watched Barbara for a few minutes before finally deciding that she should come forward. She had already met with Steph and Tim. No doubt they told her she was here.
I knew she was here somewhere, but it's still something of a shock to see Cassandra. I realize that I'm going to need a closer look at her if I'm going to be able to calculate whether she's a threat or an ally.
Barbara waves, it's tentative and somewhat unsure, which is rather out of character.
She hesitates visibly for a second or two before finally doing the typical leap-off-the-building-and-use-objects-to-slow-your-descent and landing in a slightly crouched stance.
She looks almost unsure of herself. It's not something I'm used to seeing from her. She's always been poised, confident. The silence stretches out between them.
Shiva didn't talk about it, but I did pick up that Cassandra had broken her neck and left her for dead. Maybe. It's hard to say what was running through her head at the time.
"I did." Barbara takes a deep breath, settles her mind, and lets her voice shift slightly, "Tell me."
Barbara taps her chin thoughtfully, "Interesting. You wound up here prior to your taking over the League of Assassins. Before that incident with Tim." She sets that aside for the moment and turns to the important question:

If she looks wary... well that's because she is.

"So. You're here."
Yep. Real conversationalist, isn't she?

And also what might have happened between Cass and Shiva.

"...broke her neck," Cass finished. "Then ended up here."

"What were you trying to do with Shiva?"

"Needed to know. About her and me," Cass replied.

She falters trying to find the words.
"I don't know."

"It was Shiva," Cass said simply.
And yes. She was avoiding the question.
