where else could I live like this....nowhere.
It's been interesting to watch Chicago go from a good place to live....to a great place to live, as a lot of great people have eather moved here or come out of the woodwork from lurking. Due to those people alone I cannot think of a better place to live, every weekend is packed with something to do and some new events to forget the stresses of real adult life in. In all seriousness where else could I go that will have softball, toga parties, kings games, impromptu Sunday night shots, 1am sushi, regular parties...I'm sure I'm missing a lot more activity...not to mention the support structure of the people around here.
And even though I've lived here my whole life if I'm in the right state of mind (or unfortunately the right state of inebriation) I see some of the basic daily things....in a new light that makes them seem fantastic and beautiful again. Like on the ride home from a party tonight, seeing the several random towers disappear into the low clouds and the towers themselves along the river. All things I usually take for granted, but for the first time in a long time I saw them as slightly breathtaking.
On another positive note, despite the company I work for being bought looks like I will retain a job for quite a while if I want it...however that does not change my plans of wanting to move on to greener pastures.
Also boobs, but not really.
