So I've been trying to get a hold of a small business that makes paintball products for about 3 weeks now. A company that makes what is arguably one of the best tank regulators availible.
I had not recieved a reply to e-mails or phone calls and I was getting very annoyed. I had called every other day around 1:00PM central time for the last week and a half and more sparsly before that.
So I idly decide to call again from my desk...I almost shit a brick when a lady answered the phone and said, "hello this is **********". I told her I was happily supprized to get someone, since I had gotten nothing but the answering machine for a few weeks she replied with a, "Well that sucks, how can I help you."
Started to ask about the product I wanted to buy and she said she dosn't know if they are currently in stock, Dennis would know and he just stepped out. So She took my name and number and I should be getting a call back today about it.
The bummer thing is that I started to really tap any resource I could find to figure out why they had not answered phones or called back. I asked the populations of automags.org and pblegion.com and I even asked the one guy I know who is in the Biz, and knows Dennis the company owner.
Figures after I bother everyone and everything I can, I randomly stumble on good luck and get a person on the line. *facepaw*
Names left vague for no real reason...mostly because I don't want google to find the company name with a "bad review" of callbacks. For all I know they had family emergencies or whatever. I know they were moving states...that might be a cause, I'm willing to cut these guys a lot of slack. They work in an industry of screw the little guy, champion the cheater, and marketing before quality.
I'm sure no one really cares all that much about how I'm going to get what I was looking for, but the irony is kind of funny.
