Yes, I have. While she did look gorgeous in it and a lot of her appeal certainly depended on her looks, she also carried the movie in terms of acting. Cold/detached Deneuve from the 60s = ♥♥♥♥

Now let me tell you something. Today I saw "Vie privée" (1962) with Brigitte Bardot and she looked gorgeous in it. It made me think of two things. One, I knew who Catherine was when I was younger but, not having seen any of her movies, I thought she was just another pretty face who couldn't act, and I couldn't tell her and Bardot apart. Two, I'd developed an admiration for Catherine and, having seen a lot of her movies, watching a Bardot movie makes me appreciate Catherine's acting.

Bardot could never carry a movie on her shoulders the way Catherine did in "Repulsion" [not to mention she only spoke a total of about 15 sentences in that movie] or "Indochine" [which actually made me a Catherine fan].
