A hot spell is coming! There'll be +1 Celsius tomorrow! I must find my swimsuit, and make some cold mojito (I don't know exactly what mojito is, but it sounded something cool (literally too) in the fourth Dexter-book I've just finished ( Read more... )

LOOOOOL icon. Maybe SB Masamune's personality was the result of his head was hitting by Kou-chan's hard fist on a regular basis. It's not like I could blame Masamune for what he was doing there...

Dexter...it's hard to tell anything about this series, since I like the guy, the main character. He's a megalomaniac psychopath who slices people like you slice the bread, and he's batsh*t insane, his full moon-monologues make me think if the author, Jeff Lindsay was really okay mentally...and the funny (sad?) thing is that Dexter is almost the most likable character in the series. I know that it's not the real life and there are good people out there, yet...It's just me, I guess.
The stories are interesting and I think they're original, too, especially the second book was very original and brain-killing and cruel, I don't think I'll read it again in this life, but the series is worth of a reading. I read it because I was in the middle of a pseudo-historical book (Love in the House of Hapsburgs, it's overromanticised and the author thought she had the right to change historical facts in the name of Love, or what...), and i needed something love-free book :P

You know, I think that's not far from the truth. ;p

Hmm, that sounds like a pretty interesting read. The disturbing aspects and the likeability of the character are probably intentional and meant to make the reader a little uncomfortable. I've been meaning to either read the books or watch the TV series for a while, but I'm not sure which is the more interesting option.

Hey, love-free stuff is often much needed. 8'D
