Things I don't understand
Why in 2008 do movies look so ropey in the cinema? Isn't it about time that movies were distributed in shown purely digitally. A $50 dvd player fed into a projector would be superior. I know some cinemas show some movies digitally, but I think it's about time it became the norm. The campaign starts here!
Why do we get safety briefings on flights telling you where the lift rafts and life jackets are? Is any one aware of any plane crash in water where there were survivors? When was the last plane crash over water anyway (most crashes occur at take off or landing) the Air India bomb in 1985 perhaps?
Also on planes why do even new planes have ashtrays in them? IS anyone aware of any airline anywhere in the world that allows smoking?
