Thailand this time

For reasons of, well, laziness really, it's been rather a while since I updated this. Erm, whoops? Sorry about that.
Anyway, I'm currently in Thailand, on the island of Koh Phangan, and have just missed the infamous full moon party. I have, however, undertaken what turned out to be a daring and dangerous hike to the next beach along (involving scaling near-vertical rock faces with lianas, and then trying to get down the other side without handy foliage to hang on to. Remember when I was scared of heights?). It was supposed to take 90 minutes and ended up taking just under 4 hours, including numerous detours when I got lost, and one when I got really lost and couldn't find any path for half an hour let alone the right one.
(This is why Koh Phangan doesn't have many roads--because the landscape is really not user-friendly. This is also why I cheated and took the boat back instead.)
As a result of aforesaid hike, I spent yesterday trying to get my trousers mended. I only have two pairs,and the other pair got impaled right where it doesn't do for a lady to have torn trousers. My backside, fortunately, is mostly undented.
Apart from that, so far my time on the island has been pretty uneventful, thanks to the sinful lure of the sun/sand/sea combo. I will go back to being adventurous and discovering the world... in a couple of days, maybe.
