I'm writing this at 2:05am just because.
Poly life's good and all, but I still haven't made any friends in class that I can hangout with.
25 people in the class... I don't have any phone numbers. Depressing. [Saying so because one of my team mates asked another person in our team for her phone number but he didn't ask me...]
So far I've been hanging out with my old school mates. Evan, Teckguan, Irene and Stella the most... but they have their friends as well. I'm forever alone haha.
The modules are pretty alright. The one I hate the most is communication practice, for obvious reasons. I don't really 'know' how to communicate. I'm a socially awkward person imo. I suck at presenting as well. Whenever I go to the front of my class my mind goes blank, so I have to have something in my hand while presenting -_-;
I think maths is favourite module now. But the thing is, there is still the need for ~teamwork~ in maths. I need to adapt soon, because so far I haven't gotten any As for any module yet. ;A;
SLAs... I signed up for Jive (events management) and Wind Symphony. Frankly speaking, the reason I signed up for Jive is pretty stupid. I don't mind getting labelled as a xmm for this because yeah... ;~; it is pretty much a xmm reason. Jive actually helped in organising MULA last year... and they also helped organising the Far East Movement concert this year. They're currently ~trying~ to get the June (Korean Music Wave) concert but I don't think they'll get it. It's a non-committed CCA [meaning that there's no meeting every week and stuff, you'll have to sign up for an event] and according to the president, it's easy to get CE points [without writing RJs!!] and you can even get paid for it... so yeah. Teckguan and Stella's in it as well ^_^
Wind symphony... kinda worried about it because my clarinet playing skills are below average for a secondary school band player... I'm sure. I'm afraid that they'll only take in some and not all those who signed up... even though they said that they weren't having auditions this year.
I have no CE points currently. There are two kinds of CE points, Dip and non-dip CE points. 10 Dip and 30 non-dip CE points are required in order to graduate from RP at the end of our 3 years. Stupid thing imo, really. The ways to get CE points are to attend talks and workshops and such. ;A; It sucks because it's pretty much a waste of time in my opinion. Then after some talks/workshops they require you to write a [insert word requirement] RJ in order to get your CE point... u_u Evan managed to fulfill his required 10 dip CE points already... u_u no surprise because SAS holds so many talks/workshops already. So far there has been only ONE STA talk ;A; and I wasn't very interested in it [98.7 DJ] so I gave it a pass.
Oh and this is so depressing. A lot of my classmates are talented. We have guitarists, pianists, drama person [actress?], photographer, and a programmer[?] ;~; what is my life.
2/4 of the people in Sonic Arts in my class know how to play the guitar. The other guy I still don't know who he is yet. And I'm here, the lousy clarinetist u__u Still don't know what minor scales are, still don't what note is what in concert key [the clarinet is in the key of Bb ;A;] yeah. I wonder how the modules will be like next semester.
