Herm.

I'm trying to read my Art History book (bored by the writer), and I keep escaping to news sites for breathers. So I found two things on the New York Times that I found interesting. Here's what got me to their Caucus blog:
Senator John McCain said on Saturday night that he thought his debate with Senator Barack Obama in Mississippi went “quite well,’’ and then accused Mr. Obama of doing nothing about the Wall Street financial crisis except using it for political gain.

“It was clear that Senator Obama still sees the financial crisis in America as a national problem to be exploited first and solved later,’’ said Mr. McCain.
Wait, what? And then earlier today, this was this entry's headline: McCain: ‘When They Call It a Tie That Means We Win.’ What?

Interestingly, this is what followed that line:
Mr. McCain, who spent Saturday making calls to members of Congress on the bailout negotiations from his campaign headquarters in Arlington, Va., had just allowed a television crew and photographers into his office for footage of him on the phone [with fellow Republicans, discussing the bailout].
Herm. How strange. Who was the one that was in every news story in the past few days, announcing his suspension? Who was the one that dissed Letterman with a lie to get on a national news show in New York, apparently rushing to Washington by also spending the night in the city? Who was the one that eventually went to Washington, but never attended the meeting with House and Senate negotiators, spending a good part of the day in his office making calls, thus making the trip to Washington nothing but a press stunt?

Herm. You talk, McCain, like a dick. I don't really like you as a person any more.

And if I hear anyone talk about Obama's inexperience again, then I now have to say, "Well, if McCain is more experienced, why didn't you choose him eight years ago?"
