Life Update

Wow, it's been awhile since I've updated on here. I think after vacation I had no interesting stories to tell. And while work hasn't changed at all it hasn't been that interesting. Although, we do have a new girl and she fancies herself to be a bit of a Cake Boss. She has been watching me decorate telling me I look like a robot and that I'm not having fun. It's work, fun doesn't always happen. But she is just a packager girl and she's not very good. She has scoliosis and is a big complainer in general. So the idea is to get rid of her during her probation, only our store manager doesn't seem to agree. I thought the idea of probation was to weed out the weak and useless. So I'm thinking she's not going to go quietly. I guess work has been sort of interesting.

The orangy saga seems to have ended. While I was gone my Dad rototilled my garden (and everything is coming up! I will be dining on fresh peas, carrots, cucumbers, beans and tomatoes, mmm) and mowed my lawn. And took my birdfeeder to clean after the winter. And after I got back I found that the mouse problem had fixed itself. And I haven't seen any cats. So I'm thinking that the birds and mice were attracting orangy. Also, I saw orangy in his house with a collar, so someone there had the brain wave that perhaps having an unlicenced cat wandering the hood was a bad idea financially. Good for me. I have learned in the past few weeks that the new neighbours are a little strange. The kids don't listen to the mom because she just gives them passive aggressive empty threats. Among the gems I've heard, she's threatened to take away baseball camp and asked them why they only miss having their dad around, why don't they miss her? It gives me a good laugh.

I still miss being on vacation, two weeks is a nice time to be away from it all. I'm not sure how my Mom is handling it. My Dad did mention that he had a talk with her telling her that her traveling with me is done. I think she was a little stressed before and after vacation and he took the brunt of it. But now my quest is to find the waffle truck. I've been following the twitter feed but now I just come home to discover that if I went to a specific spot by 2 I could get some, but it's too late! I think it's a good thing that the truck is a little elusive, vacation waffles are okay when I'm spending hours a day walking around is one thing, but real life is another. But it'll be a nice treat when I find it!

I'm also trying to burn up my Scene points for my free movies. And now that it is finally summer the good movies are starting to come out. But the sad part is that once school lets out I can't have my quiet afternoon movies. The last one I saw there were only 4 of us in the theatre. I really like that, even if the crazies to tend to sit close to me. Not cool.

But until then I'm enjoying getting outside with the lovely weather and watching my yard grow. It's so exciting to see all of the plants that I've found all growing and looking nice. I remember jamming most of these plants in the back of my car and planting them but never really thinking how impressive they would start to get after a few years!

vacation baby!, waffle awesomeness, it's alive and pretty, life thoughts
