[ Character's Name ] : Yellow (de Viridiangrove/of the Viridian Forest)
[ Character's Age ] : 14
[ Series ] : Pokémon Special/Adventures
[ Canon Point ] : Emerald arc, before the tournament starts.

[ History ] :
Yellow's story started when this guy named Red rescued a young(er) Yellow from an angry Dratini... (And just in case: another link!)

[ Personality ] :
Cheerful and amiable, Yellow generally thinks of everyone as a potential friend and acts accordingly. This, coupled with her tendency to do things at her own pace, leads her to do questionable things at her own pace. This includes attempting to take Red's Pikachu without explanation from Professor Oak in order to help reunite him with Red again, and giving Crystal the impression of being a suspicious guy because of her almost too easygoing demeanor when she only wanted to give her a message from her employer and help her out. Not to mention her odd tendency to fall asleep at the weirdest times. But while she may leave out some needed information, whether on purpose (like the incident with Professor Oak) or by accident (like the incident with Crystal), she can still manage to get along with people by virtue of otherwise being a straightforward person with a kind heart. And being highly determined to see through anything she decides on to the end helps too.

She's also quite naïve and easily trusts people at face value. People can easily trick her into a disadvantage with mere suggestions. An example is when one of the FRLG arc's antagonists mentions a few questions for Yellow to ask a Pokémon and then get her to willingly mind-read the Pokémon for its answer over and over again for answers despite the strain it puts on her after a while. This was in no way forced, and Yellow didn't think much about how overusing her powers here would leave her exhausted and unable to fight back. And way before that, she immediately trusted Blue who told her that the boy who saved her two years ago had gone missing and asked her to help find him. Turns out this was a good choice in the end, especially since Blue's one of the main characters, but there are so many ways this could have not ended well if Blue actually turned out to be malicious.

One of her defining characteristics is her pacifistic nature. She dislikes fighting to the point where her battle style centers around trying to harmlessly incapacitate the opponent while avoiding injuries to her Pokémon. This, however, isn't to say that she's a horrible fighter by any means, especially after training with Green and Blue, both very strong and competent battlers. When Yellow has reason to become seriously determined to win the fight, she can synchronize her spirit with her Pokémon, augmenting her Pokémons' levels. This is thanks to the combination of her mutually close bond to her Pokémon and the psychic powers she received from the Viridian Forest. However, due to being sweet-tempered by default, this state never lasts long, and rarely comes up at that: only situations like the threat of disasters that'll affect humans at large and the environment, especially the Viridian Forest that she calls home, or harm to her comrades can force her to battle like that. Otherwise, she will always look for peaceful means to end a fight and try her best to mediate between hostile parties.

While Yellow does occasionally fight with her Pokémon, she sees them as some of her best friends, not as weapons. She honestly loves any and all Pokémon and goes out of her way to help indiscriminately any Pokémon she sees in trouble, even healing those that just attacked her if they got injured in the process. Revenge is a rather foreign concept to her, and she does not believe in starting and continuing cycles of hate because of it. She would rather forgive people and try to mend their relationship than hold a grudge. To her, not only is it not an option, all that hate is just not worth it. In her opinion, hate would be better channeled into energy towards working for a more peaceable solution. Long story short, love makes the world go around, and she believes that there is good in everyone and that humans and Pokémon can coexist peacefully.

Due to her habit of wearing a straw hat that hides her long hair and her short height, Yellow tends to be mistaken for a boy and younger than she really is, but aside from the occasional sigh or two, she always shrugs it off, especially the former. In fact, she can shrug off a lot. She dislikes causing trouble if she can help it, because in the end, she just wants everyone to be friends and happy. And if keeping relationships harmonious means keeping a tight lid on certain subjects (read: letting Red know she's actually a girl before the GSC arc), well she can do that. And she doesn't mind working to help people and Pokémon with their issues, no matter how long it takes. She's very patient, and willing to wait (one of her main hobbies is fishing, which helps a lot with this) as long as it takes to overcome it. Because in the end, it's worth it just to see people smile.

Also, she can be rather polite, to the point where she often uses Mr. and Ms. for people even when they are younger than her.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Yellow is one of the people who received psychic powers from the Viridian Forest once every ten years or so. These powers allow her to:

1. Read the minds, emotions, and memories of Pokémon when placing a hand their heads (though she can hear some like Deoxys just by being close by).
2. Heal any Pokémon to full health (this does not include healing scars).
3. Utilize a small amount of telekinesis, enough to move around a Poké Ball attached to her fishing pole in normally physically impossible ways.
4. Synchronize her spirit with that of her Pokémon in times of trouble, allowing her to boost their powers to high levels.

Thanks to her powers, she can become a highly formidable opponent despite being one of the least skilled of the Dex Holders in combat. However, this is balanced by the fact that using any of her powers always tires her out. This makes her almost narcoleptic after any extended use of her powers, which can really screw her over if she falls asleep during inopportune moments.

Personality-wise, she's a kind and compassionate girl who loves everyone, human and Pokémon alike, and can easily make friends with people. She's also very, very determined, and will never back down from her beliefs. On the other hand, she's rather naïve and can be tricked into putting herself at a disadvantage. And unlike quite a few of her fellow Dex Holders, she's utterly defenseless without her Pokémon to help her out in battle.

And in Vatheon, her Pokemon are basically always under a status effect that lowers all their stats as necessary.

[ Other Important Facts ] :
Yellow will be bringing her Pokémon friends with her! I'll list their names and basic stats here:

- Ratty / Raticate ♂ / LV. 25
>> Hardy Nature
>> Ability: Guts
>> Known Attacks: Hyper Fang, Super Fang

- Dodosk / Dodrio ♂ / LV. 33
>> Hasty Nature
>> Ability: Early Bird
>> Known Attacks: Drill Peck, Peck, Whirlwind

- Golosk / Golem ♂ / LV. 39

>> Known Attacks: String Shot

- Chuchu / Pikachu ♀ / LV. 31
>> Mild Nature
>> Ability: Static
>> Known Attacks: Quick Attack, Thunderbolt, Thundershock, Volt Tackle

A small note: I'm taking these stats from the end of the GSC arc, so they could actually be a little higher in level by now, but since Yellow avoids battles, it's safe to say that if her Pokémon did level up between the GSC arc and her appearance in the FRLG arc, it'd literally be only by a couple of levels at the most.

Also, I'm using a mix of Chuang Yi and Coronis's translations. For example, Chuang Yi switches around the character names of Blue and Green. I'm sticking with the original and Coronis's translation where the stoic boy is Green and the cunning girl is Blue. But I'll mostly go by Chuang Yi's names and nicknames.

[ Sample ] :
Everything that happened after Silver arrived while Yellow visited the Viridian Gym to see Red and Green went by incredibly quickly. Like a blur, the same kind that happens when Dodosk runs full speed in an open field.

That thought gave her pause. Abruptly, she immediately opened her eyes and sat up, checking the belt around her waist for her Pokémon. Pulling out all six Poké Balls, she quickly did roll call. There's Chuchu, Ratty, Dodosk, Golosk, Omask and Freesk...which meant everyone was accounted for. She sighed in relief and smiled at them before releasing everyone from their Poké Balls. They've been in there for too long now after all. Then she leaned down to pick up Chuchu like she always did.

It was only then when she realized how wet everything was.

Well, that wasn't too weird, since everyone got wet at the end of the battle at the Battle Frontier, but Yellow could have sworn everyone dried themselves off by now, including her. Blinking in confusion, she looked around her surroundings for some clue. Unfortunately, however, she didn't know enough about the Battle Frontier to even make a guess about where she was. She tilted her head slightly, racking her brain to check if she's been here in this place before, even just briefly. A couple of minutes passed before she had to admit that, no, she had absolutely no clue where she was.

“I have a question for everyone,” Yellow spoke up, looking at each and every one of her Pokémon friends, who all looked back at her. “Anyone have an idea about where we are?”

After a moment or two of deliberation, all of them shook their head to side to side. Yellow just smiled back at them. “It's fine, thanks for trying. This just means we're all in the same boat, right?”

Yellow then took the time to chat and make theories with her Pokémon, each more silly than the last. (Okay, so that theory that they were actually in one of the Battle Frontier facilities wasn't so farfetched after all, but the one about falling asleep near water and then falling in was pretty out there.) Once that was done, however, they all unanimously decided that they needed to find someone and ask for directions.

“All right, everyone, first thing's first. Let's find someone we can talk to!” A chorus of noises followed her announcement, making her laugh. They'd make it through this fine, just like they always did.

[ Questions? Comments? Concerns? ] : Nope, not at the moment!
