Yeah. It's nifty. I've been here since Thursday night.
Marisa came up with me and we've been pretty very productive for the past few days. Getting things settled and arranged and putting things in drawers and then.. deciding that was not the proper organization and rearranging everything in drawers and calling the phone company and the cable company and finding out that when they said "we provide cable" they meant... "we subcontract satellite tv" and being not very happy and calling a different cable company and yadda yadda. Oh - and stalking Verizon to give me a phonebook. I have been told it will come in teh mail, they don't do phonebooks, i have one in the truck (then he drives off w/o giving it to me) really, it's coming in the mail - no really, we don't give you phone books, and then finally i cornered a verizon lady coming to do something for one of my neighbors and stole her and made her give me a phone book. (I did at least introduce myself to the neighbor before borrowing his verizon lady).
But the end result is that I'm here. It's looking like a real place. And it's great. I love and adore my home. So exciting. I have a month before school starts to explore and go places and do things and see what manner of people I can find on my own.
It's been rainy though. Which is sad since the outside looks like it would be really pretty if not for the thunderstorms. But today was beautiful and sunny and I took a walk and it was fabulous. If the rain will be kind enough to stay away, that could become a nice habit.
I still need to hang pictures (bc I can actually put a nail in my walls now!) and do a couple other vanity thigns like that. Which I'm very indecisive about. So perhaps in a few days I'll decide where I want thigns and actually do that.
Marisa flew home earlier. So this is actually my first night alone in Maine.
It's way exciting.
So there's my life. I live in Maine. I'd squeal if LJ would let me put that on here. Bc it's just that exciting.
