recently, this song came on the radio and i had a flash back to when i was a kid, and (as all children did at some time) was going through a beatles phase. i stopped singing along for a while and listened to the lyrics. in a moment it i realised what was wrong.
nothing to kill or die for? i guess id watched to many scifi distopean worlds, because this brought back images of the giver, and the cure, and anthem, and all the rest.
so i ruined the song for my young friends by singing "you may say that im a communist"
... then we got out of the car and i found five dollars.
