The current state of our living room
This has been such a lucky and great weekend! Although it was not all sunshine as I would have wanted it, it was still pretty ah-mazing!
I am so excited to say that finally I have got my MAC! I decided that I would save up and just buy it right out after I paid off my car, and 2 months later here she is! SO here is the start to a long week of syncing over all of the cd's, ipod and phone but worth it. I am getting so adult like (hehe).
As you may know, the search for a house is still in progress, but I am sure it will happen by summer. It is stressful as well as irritating bidding on house after house and some one with $$$ swoops in and takes it from right under neath you. Being a first time home buyer is not easy at all and it is something that I surely do not have the tolerance for. But when it happens it will happen and hopefully soon.
In the mean time of this whole finding the perfect homespace, furniture and accessory buying is well under progress. Those that know me, know that I am quite the picker and can spend hour after hour in search for gems that we all know are out there and seeking for. That is something that I do and will always do for hour after hour. I search online, i go thrift-ing wide eyed and for the best deals out there and oh they are!!! SO here was what I got my hands on this weekend:
I can not even believe what a deal we got too! SO the couch. Perfect vintage circa 1950'6 and in pretty amazing vintage condition. The tweed is heavy duty and an amazing color pallet that goes with pretty much everything that I have in storage as of now. We ended up getting it for $125!!! YA!!! STEAL I SAY!!!
This set of chairs was even more of a steal! $20! For the 2! umm YA! Wheeler dealer! I am so in love with it all. We also got a small set of eggshell lights that hang about 18" long. for $10. I am still in shock that we only spent $150 and got all of this great stuff! WOW!

1 white leather couch
set of 2 orange leather chairs
1 white leather lounge
1 tweed rocker
1 teak coffee table
5 glass lamps
5 piece bedroom set dark teak wood
VIntage dish set with 6 settings and serving pieces
Multiple bowls and glasses all vintage
1 bookcase
6 chair and dinning table set circa 1960's
When the time comes for a house to be moved in to, it will about 75% furnished in the perfect way. I am so excited and eager to get all of this great stuff in place and in our place. YAYA!! If it were only tomorrow. But while the wait continues, the search will also. There are a few things that I am still looking for and need.
I have 2 hanging light fixtures that I have been eyeing but can not seem to spend the money that they want for them, and a credenza in also on the list of must haves. All in due time.
