"I wish I could dream," I looked up at Edward, and I saw that he was looking up at the coming storm. I grabbed the baseball bat and hit it against my shoes to clean the dirt off of them, not that it did anything.
"Don’t you Jasper? Wish you could dream a little dream of me?" I laughed at the old joke. I recalled the day I said that. I felt Edward’s heart swell, well the vampire equivalent to it, proving that Edward was listening.
I threw up the ball and it soared into the sky.
"Yes I do,"

Jacob yawning was what had started this little ‘discussion’ and Jacob was just happy for once that he didn’t talk in his sleep; no, talking in her sleep was Bella’s thing.
"I never will, nor have I ever," Jacob smiled at Edward as their lips came softly together. Jacob yawned again and laid back.

"You don’t dream though," He looked up at me and I knew I would have blushed.

Running. Faster than I ever ran and I still couldn’t catch up to him. He stopped abruptly and I ran into him, like thunder clapping. The gods were applauding us.
"Jasper," His voice was like liquid lightning to my heart and the guilt ate at me. I grabbed his wrist as he started to move forward away from me and he jerked, hard.
"You can’t leave her, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry..." My apologies fell on deaf ears and he gave one final jerk and ran off to the meadow.
The memory was cemented. I was dreaming little dreams of him.
