One. It was just plain admiration.
'chomp'
The youngest member of BEST sat comfortably on the couch while the rest were doing their own things at the dressing room. He was busy eating his favorite Pocky, as usual.
"Dai-chan~~~ can I please sit on your lap?" Chinen asked nicely, making that cute face at him. Usually, Daiki would smile at him, ruffle his hair and carry him to his lap. But this time, it was different.
Daiki just nodded without even looking back at Chinen. He just continued munching on his beloved Pocky.
"Nevermind." Chinen pouted and walked away. Yabu patted him and whispered. "Don't worry, he's just admiring his favorite snack."
'...a bit too much, I'm afraid.'
Two. Chinen was completely ignored.
"Okay, you're done, Arioka." The photographer said as he finished a round of shots for Daiki's solo for the magazine. "Thank you." The younger boy bowed as he stepped off the set and back towards the table where the others were.
"Yaotome-kun!" One of the staffs called. Hikaru frowned and grumbled angrily under his breath something like, "Isaiddon'tcallemebythatname,demmit." as he walked towards the set.
Daiki sat beside his bag and took out his second box of Pocky, opened it, and began munching.
Chinen came running towards him, smiling cutely. "Nee, Dai-chan~~ play with me, pretty please?"
'chomp'
"Dai-chan?"
'chomp'
Chinen puffed his cheeks angrily and stomped away.
"Whoa, did he just ignore THE Chinen Yuri who-has-that-irresistably-cute-smile-that-can-manipulate-even-Johnny?!?!" Yuto blurted out as he watched Chinen sulk in the corner. He was flailing his arms crazily that he hit Yamada's face by accident. "OW! Yuto!"
"Oops. Sorry, Yama-chan."
Three. DaiChii vs. Daiky (Daiki x Pocky)
"I've had enough!" Chinen yelled at the top of his voice as he stood up from his seat and ran towards where Daiki was. Everyone looked at him and got surprised when they saw the younger boy snatch the box of Pocky away from the BEST member.
Daiki was a bit surprised with Chinen's action that he wasn't able to say anything afterwards.
Chinen quickly threw the box inside the trash bin and smirked. "Dai-chan is mine, back off, you evil box of Pocky!" He hissed at the non-living item. Hikaru cringed at the sight and whispered to Takaki. "I sure wouldn't try to steal Daiki away from Chinen." Takaki gave a nervous nod in response.
Chinen turned around to face Daiki, but this time with that cute and innocent smile. "Play with me, Dai-chan~~"
"Oh, thanks, Chii. That box was actually empty." Daiki said as he opened another box and munched the chocolate-dipped bread stick. Chinen's jaw dropped and stared at the BEST member.
Winner: Daiky (Daiki x Pocky)
Four. They're officially an OTP.
"Katie~~~~~ Help meeeee!!!!" Chinen pulled on Keito's sleeve as he whined like a little girl. "What is it? And please, stop calling me that." The English boy asked when he finally got tired of ignoring him. "Dai-chan is obsessed with Pocky. He's forgotten about me!" Chinen said, puffing his cheeks.
"Can't you talk to him about it?" Keito asked calmly. The younger boy nodded and added, "He's completely ignoring me!"
Keito sighed and walked towards Daiki. The older boy was sitting on the sofa, back facing the rest of the members. "Anou... Arioka-kun...?"
Before Keito could even say anything else, he heard Daiki mumbled, "I love you my dear Pocky~~~" and then followed by munching noises.
A few seconds later, Chinen looked up at Keito and asked, "What happened?"
Keito placed his hand over Chinen's shoulder and said, "They're an official OTP. I'm sorry."
Chinen's world fell apart.
Five. Learn to share.
Chinen has been sulking the whole day, after Yuto declared to everyone that Daiky (Daiki x Pocky) was the new OTP. "Geez, Yuto, look what you did to Chii." Yamada scolded his bestfriend while on their way to the dressing room.
Ryutaro suddenly ran out of the room and exclaimed. "Chii-kun's missing!" Everyone got startled and began to run separately, looking for the younger boy.
"Chii!!!"
Chinen was hiding in the closet all the time, crying his little eyes out. "Dai-chan hates me. He loves that Pocky more..." He kept repeating to himself as he burried his face over his knees.
Suddenly, he heard the closet door creak open. He slowly looked up and found Daiki looking worried. "Chii!" Everyone ran towards them.
"Why were you hiding there?" Inoo asked as he kneeled in front of him. Chinen pouted and continued sobbing at the older boy's shoulder. "It's because Dai-chan hates me."
"EH?" Daiki exclaimed and pointed to himself. "Me? Why would I hate you?" Chinen looked up and pointed at the box over the table. "You love that thing more than me."
The older boy chuckled and walked over to him. "Jya, if I hated you and thought that Pocky was more important than you, why would I have gone through every corners of the jimusho just to find you?"
Chinen blinked and sniffed. "So....you don't hate me?" He felt Daiki's hand play with his hair and heard him chuckle once more. "Of course I don't, silly." He reached for the box and gave a piece to the younger boy. Chinen gladly took a bite and giggled. "For now, I'll consider sharing Dai-chan with Pocky."
"You should have seen how panicked Dai-chan was when he heard you were miss---mmmhhpppfff." Yuto got cut off when Yabu slammed his hand over his mouth.
"I guess Daiky just made DaiChii stronger." Hikaru smirked.
"Oh, I'm sure we won't be hearing the last of this new OTP yet." Takaki added.
