Yup, we are not going to be able to get a house and not just the one we were hoping to get, but NO house at all. We returned from Dragon*Con thinking all was well. My hubby returned to work today to find out he was fired for standing up for himself during a employee review. Anyway, it all comes down to us going back to eating ramen more often and

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry!!

Is there any legal thing he can do about being fired? One should never be let go for standing up for one's self...

It doesn't sound like his company was in the right with that. What are they claiming?

I would second the other people who have suggested your husband look into ways this can be made right. I would guess the HR department of his workplace would not look kindly on a not-for-cause termination.
