On a personal level it wasn't a bad year. It could have been better, but on the whole it was OK.
I'm still living near Holloway road. There was snow at both ends of the year. I sold a car and bought a bicycle. I would have sold the car sooner, but the January snow made that harder. I bought
a Kindle 3, which I get a good amount of use from. I like it a lot.
I got a laptop in October, but I still want a new phone. Changing from a "mobile phone" to a "smartphone" (in my case an android G1) was a big change, now I want a faster, better, newer android phone with the latest OS that can run the latest software. I'm curious to see if going from Android v1.5 to 2.3 will also be a big change, or just an incremental improvement.
I changed jobs. Ann is still good to me, and we made each other's Christmas much better. I saw some bands. My flatmate is still nice, and I am not planning on moving at the moment. I didn't travel much, but Whitbies were good and M'era Luna was great (people and music).
Christmas holiday and associated meeting old friends and family was disappointing, as it consisted of much arranging and packing (and major purchases like laptop and kindle were bought with an eye on this trip), heading to Heathrow on the day and then instead of the holiday, coming straight back home due to Heathrow and Virgin Atlantic's mega snow fail.
I may be a bit more adventurous in travel in the new year. I'll try to get to South Africa in the next few months, and visit more countries overall. I have vague plans so far for a few events.
A few people were really nice to me this last year when I was going through rough patches. They have my thanks.
