Nobody else has really said anything, but DAMN with today's news.
Michael Jackson was one of the formative members of my musical upbringing. My parents had "Thriller" and it was an album I came to appreciate as the years went on. When I was 5, my parents bought "Bad" on cassette for me and I played the shit out of it and then I got "Dangerous" when it came out and also played that into the ground. I still remember a Sunday evening after that album came out and the HUGE countdown on FOX to the "Remember the Time" video and me getting more and more antsy for it to premiere. The man was responsible for so much timeless music and is easily one of the most influential musicians and singers ever.
It sickens me that people want to make snide remarks about his personal life when the man has just passed away and left behind this amazing musical legacy. This should be a time to remember his impact and what he has meant to so many people.
RIP Michael

Let Us Dream of Tomorrow
by Michael Jackson
If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with. In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe. Let us dream of tomorrow where we can truly love from the soul, and know love as the ultimate truth at the heart of all creation.
