The word for bread, in both Japanese and Latin, is "pan". I thought that was fascinating, because as far as I know, the Japanese were still almost totally isolated from the Western world during the Roman empire.

XD That sounds very eventful.
I went camping. ^_^ To Waldo Lake. And then we swung by Crater Lake. And then ended up in California. o.o And then came home. ^_^

mementolucifera's right-- "pan" in Japanese is borrowed from the Romance languages. ^_^
