Alright. So this guy gave you all this shit about the Quincy and shinigami and Soul Society.
Well, Ishida's retarded. He's got his Quincy pride or whatever, so he can't really help it. And I really don't need any more of you idiots asking me stupid questions about shinigami or anything, because Ishida couldn't keep his piehole shut or you went asking some other shinigami like Byakuya and they give you some shit about how great Soul Society is.
Soul Society blows. It's the place where you go when you die. Sometimes it takes a little while for a shinigami to get to you, so you kind of hang around for a while in the living world as a ghost. Nobody can see you, except a few people, and if they can see you, STOP FUCKING BOTHERING THEM. The last thing we need is dead people giving us shit, on top of all the living people already giving us shit. Jesus.
Anyway, a shinigami will come and send you there using the hilt of their zanpakutou, and you get sent to one of the districts, where all you do is an assload of nothing for hundreds of years until you die and get reincarnated. It's really not that exciting.
Unless you have reiatsu. Spirit pressure. All shinigami have reiatsu, which is how they can use zanpakutou and shunpo and kido and probably a bunch of other things. Zanpakutou are the swords you see us carrying around, except they're not normal swords. They have their own spirits, so using a zanpakutou is a partnership. You have to know the name of your zanpakutou and work with it to use shikai and bankai.
Shikai is the first release of a zanpakutou, and all it really does is make you stronger. Bankai is the second release, and it's even stronger than shikai. Supposedly you have to train for ten years or something to get bankai, but I did it in three days, so you kind of wonder how only a few fuckers can use it. Shunpo is flash steps, which let you move thousands of steps in just one step. Ask Yoruichi. And kido is demon arts, which are spells or something. Ask Rukia.
All the shinigami are soldiers in the Gotei 13. Thirteen Court Guards. There's thirteen divisions, which each have a captain, a vice captain, a lot of seated officers, then shitloads of unseated officers. I have no fucking idea why they need so many officers. The captains are all the most powerful, and they can usually use bankai, then the vice captains, then all the way down. Some of the captains are alright, but most of them are douchebags. Like Byakuya.
There's also some sort of room of people who give out orders and some King of Soul Society or something, but it's probably bureaucratic shit, so I don't care. The Gotei 13 does all the important things, anyway, like sending souls to Soul Society and purifying evil spirits so people don't get eaten.
Problem is, the Gotei 13 kind of suck, their general is an asshole, and three of their captains pulled a fast one on them and are trying to take over the world. He's the leader, so stay away from him. Aizen's also in charge of the arrancar that Urahara invented that he made by giving Hollows shinigami powers. Or something. So stay away from them too.
