Well it seems that I have stolen the laptop once more. Jessica is at work so there is little to nil for me to do. I have to go to field hockey workouts in an hour and half. Delish. Workouts make me want to cry.
I never told the story of Relay for Life 2005 . . .
It all goes back to that Saturday. Perhaps the 18th? Well anywho, I don't really remember much about it. It was pretty cool I guess. Not as eventful as the other relays, but any sleepover is a good one. Except there was no sleeping! There were 14 kids on our team. We raised 1500$+. I'll have to check the numbers later. I wanted to make a cake for the Cake Decorating Contest, but mine failed. Oh boy was it bad. We ended up throwing it away. Good bye 3 hours of work. Anywho. Relay was pretty much hanging out with Octagon Club. The "Team OC"'s captain had to leave early, so they ate our pizza and used our tent. Whatever it takes to get the community together, right? Some parts of the night were sweet. Like kickball and learning to country dance. Some part of the night were not so sweet. Like 7-11 weird guy, transition transaction. The pie eating was semi-successful. I breathed it up, but some old guy beat me. Pie is so disgusting at times like those. But this woman said I was a close second. Which was nice of her, even though I had like 1/4 pie left. But my friends are surprisingly slow at eating pie. I'm a veteran, so I guess I have that advantage. Richard dressed drag as Rickie Sue. He told bad jokes and looked like a French prostitute, but he raised 70-some dollars so we are proud. It was a very random night, but all in all it was a fine time. I'll be doing it next year again. I should hope.
So now school's over. Quite the relief. Junior year was a bitch. Grades were pretty all over the place. But 3 AP classes fucking saved my ass. +0.5 x3 = sweet GPA. Hallelujah! This year, I received the worst grades, worked the least, cared little, and I still result in a successful state. But this will change come next year. Well the bad work habits. I should still like a sweet GPA. I really like my schedule for Senior year, despite its plethora of AP classes. No time for dilly-dallying, but I will enjoy it.
I hope this summer lasts forever.
