Ouch, my rear end!!!!

Well, more experiences...

Again, it was a boring day... class and whatnot. There was a birthday party for a girl in our group at our professor´s house... it was during siesta time so I showed up late and left early... You know, my usual way of attending parties of any sort.

But then it was time to head back to the house... I was there for maybe 20 minutes when Megan called and said that she was going horseback riding...

As I have never been horseback riding before (well, I went with a girl scout troup but never rode after I watched a girl fall off the horse when the saddle slipped) I decided to give it a whirl.

So we drove to the roads behind the plaza de toros (where I had been the night before learning to drive) and we searched for Villa who was out on his horse. When we found him I was first up... Villa rode with me...

Well... he rode with me for about 45 seconds when the horse decided it was a good idea to start bucking. At first I couldn´t believe that it was bucking for real, and then I thought Villa had done it as a joke and it would stop... but all of a sudden Villa wasn´t behind me anymore... he was on the ground... and 3.2 seconds later I was midair and falling. I landed straight on my ass and damn it hurt. But all I thought was I didn´t want to be stepped on so I scurried away.

I stood up and Luís and Villa and Megan were staring at me in shock. The horse took off and the guys were running after it, then running back to me, then running after it, then running back to me not really knowing what they should do. I assured them I was A-OK and Luís jumped in his car and Villa started running after the horse...

Still slightly shaken, I sat with Megan until they returned.

But yes, I got back on... after I had Megan test out the horse herself.

I feel like I must have done something wrong because Villa said that the horse had never done anything like that before ever. He was so upset. I felt bad that he was upset... but I still had a good time while I was there. I did find out later that once Villa had found the horse he gave her a pretty good beating.

They said that it was a good thing my butt was "blando" and when I asked them what that meant they kept on pointing to rocks and whatnot, so I thought it meant hard... I got back home and looked in my dictionary and the definition was soft or tender... so I don´t know what that means... cushiony?

I tried to joke about it with Luís afterwards, but he said it was better not to because they were still really worried about it/me... then he said it was best not to tell anyone because he´d be in trouble if his mother found out I fell. The man is 24 and still hides things from his parents... but I guess that´s because he lives at home... just like everyone else... which is cool because he says that they live life for fun and use the money they earn at work to play and have a good time.

My butt felt fine until I´d been home for a couple of hours sitting on it...

This morning I couldn´t move my left leg and it hurt so bad I was crying... but now it feels better and the pain has shifted from where the leg and the butt meet to my tailbone and hip area... hopefully it´ll be gone by tonight because i have an indoor soccer game. It´s bruised. OWW!

Well, I´m off because I need to eat soon or something. I love and miss you guys and I´ll see you later!!!!
