yeah... didn't do much of anything this weekend... well, at night.
friday i went to see steve hofstetter, this comedian who also writes for collegehumor.com, perform. he was pretty funny. i liked how the things he said, while they were funny, they were geared toward people our age. he reminded me of how some of my friends are from home, with some of the things he said. some of his jokes shocked me- i didn't think he'd say something like that as part of his act- but he did and it was awesome. his freedom to make fun of himself while still being funny... great. what i don't understand is how people get offended by some of the things he says... i mean, he makes just as much fun of himself and other people. whatever. i recommend going to see his act if he comes to your school. befriend him on thefacebook!
then i called it a night. loser.
saturday i woke up and went for a run with ashley. then we got ready and went to the movies to see "Sin City." It was an awesome movie. I loved how the movie was shot, how certain things were in color and it made it that much more interesting. And it wasn't just a "regular" comic book movie; but the story made you think- wait, what happened... when? i couldn't put it together. but oh my gosh, it was so gross! when marv said he wanted wendy to stay in the car so she wouldn't see what he was about to do to this guy... man, he should have made us wait in the car too. GROSS! but it was done in a way that was kind of funny, if ya know what i mean? All in all, I really enjoyed the movie.
then we went to andolini's for dinner. there's this guy who works there that just seems really nice. and... and if i wasn't so chicken shit i'd ask him to hang out- not ask him out- but hang out so i could get to know him. i'm a teeth person and when he smiles (granted he smiles at everyone who orders) but just the smile... wow. so far he's the andolini's guy, nameless, and i can leave everything to my imagination- which is nice... sort of. i need to grow some freakin balls.
then i called it a night.
a pattern? whatever. today i got some homework out of the way and am planning on going to dinner with sarah whom i haven't seen all weekend. it's been pretty weird.
