So, I get this magazine yesterday in the mail. It was Baby Talk from Parent's or whatever. Anyway, I'm flipping through, and I'm reading. I came across this article that had Brooke Shields endorsing formula. I really got a laugh out of it because the ad starts out as so:
"Introducing Bright Beginning Infant Formula. Because to a New Mom, Everything Matters."
Then it had a picture of Brooke Shields and went on to say:
"That's why new moms, like Brooke Shields are switching to Bright Beginning Infant Formula with DHA and ARA, important building blocks for their baby's brain and eye development. In other words, the stuff that matters. Try sensibly priced Bright Beginnings Infant Formula for yourself." and then it had in wee teeny tiny writing "*Breastfeeding is best for babies." Which, you couldn't even notice unless you took the time to squint and stuff. It's really scummy of them to pay someone famous to endorse it, and barely acknoweledge that breastfeeding is the best. People are gonna go buy this stuff only because she endorses it, and that's just horrible.
