The Weekend and Jones Soda Related Harassment

Argh - I'm tired after a jampacked weekend...

Friday Night was Ethiopian food and Martinis to celebrate the triumphant return of my friend Stacey. Note to anyone thinking of going to Clydz in New Brunswick, after 1.5 glasses of wine at dinner, 3 martinis is a good idea, but 4 is a very bad idea. Hung out at Stacey's in my PJs until around 4PM, and managed to thwart her attempts to steal my keys to get me to stay, and then headed home to do homework - which turned into a lot of napping. Yesterday I finished all of my GIS homework, so I just need to take my final next Monday and I'm done. As my sister Janelle and I discussed last night, it seems really anticlimactic to finish my Masters this way.

Also, in an effort to limit the amount of stuff we all get from Christmas, my sisters, brothers-in-law and I will be drawing names so I only need to get one present instead of 5, still need to shop for my niece, nephews and my parents, but it cuts down on a little of the holiday stress.

Now to get a little rant-a-rific. For those of you who find it fun to harass me about the fact that I find the mere thought of the Jones Turkey and Gravy soda disgusting (*Cough* angryjonny *Cough*), I wish to point out the following things:

a) There are plenty of non-vegetarians who find the idea disgusting.
b) If I want to eat something resembling turkey, I'd just eat turkey. I won't eat a tofurkey, so why would I want to try faux turkey in liquid form?
c) The fact that it apparently contains no real turkey makes the whole concept worse, because I don't want to know what they use to approximate the taste of turkey. It can't be good for you.
d) I don't want to lose any of my taste and style street cred, 'cause really, when you think about it, you know the perfect spokesman for Turkey and Gravy soda would be Keven Federline or a carnie (which may actually be redundant).

Now I really need to get to work...
