It's a wonderfully written opera, about a woman caught between two loves; one who seduced her with his voice, and another who was her childhood sweetheart.

I'm sure you'd be able to find the book somewhere, but seeing it performed on stage is quite the experience.

I've no doubt of that, though I can't say I've seen much in the way of stage entertainment.

A shame, that. Phantom is one of the few operas I'm partial to. Much better than Italian, I think.
