So. We're got a lot of people of mixed skill level interested in this, at least interested in pooling knowledge. What I need to know is the level of commitment I can expect from everyone. It's no problem if you're busy or have other obligations, I just need to know who is available for what, an honest estimate, because we've got a lot to do, and we need to be able to assign the work fairly.
I've been doing a lot of thinking about how to go about this, but I also want everyone's input. What I've come up with may not necessarily be the best way to handle things, and I'm open to suggestions.
But for now here's what I have.
The people with healing abilities include myself, Miss Zelda, Miss Yukina, Miss Nabooru, Sasori, Haku and Miss Elena. I remember Sora saying he can cast some sort of Curaga spell, but I need to talk to him.
The people with basic medical knowledge and first aid training, formal or informal, include Sheik, Miss Juri, Hinata and Miss Redfield. Mister Wesker doesn't exactly count.
If anyone knows of anyone else who might be able to help, talk to them and have them contact me, please.
So far we have eleven people willing to help with knowledge. Setting Sasori aside as uninterested in actually treating people medically, that gives us ten medics, many of whom I'm sure are already busy with their own obligations and some of whom aren't experienced enough to handle an emergency without assistance.
So my thought is this--we all need specific things for our abilities and techniques, but there's a few universal items we could all use. I'll be working on making an inventory with Miss Zelda of what we have, but I'd like each of you to submit a list of what you think you might need for any situation--even if it's an obvious item like bandages, just include it.
And I want to have at least one medic on standby at Miss Zelda's facilities at any time. My ideal would be a minimum of two, one experienced and one less so--which would bring us to five teams and five shifts, if people have the time. The medic or medics on duty will be responsible for responding to any emergency, either out in the field or being brought to them. If something is too much to handle alone, every medic should have a means of contacting the others quickly--a filter with all of us on it, some sort of alert system.
The importance is being able to respond quickly and give aid in time. Not everyone is a field medic, and our skill and experience levels differ, however, which brings me to my last item of business;
Teaching each other. I think we should meet twice a week and share what we know, those with more time can spend the time pursuing research and helping stock the inventory.
So, those are my thoughts.
