Nick

My sister in law posted a bulletin on Myspace about Nick.... It's soooo painful to read.
My heart swells and I wish there was more I could to help him....

I think that the worst thing about having your husband overseas, are the missions he's obligated to complete.. Road side clearing is what he's doing at his week long stay in Fallujah AGAIN... He had called from the barricks over there... They have internet and phones in their barricks!! Nick has been waiting since he's got there to have this guy hook up internet in their barricks, but he fails to follow through with anything... I can tell Nick is totally stressed all of the time. I mean my husband can fall asleep in exactly 2 minutes and 14 seconds (I timed him because he didn't believe me). He can sleep standing up, sleep on a floor of tree roots, or simple in the front seat of his car without a problem. He said he hasn't been sleeping so well, and not so much anymore. That tells you that he's really overly stressed if Nick can't sleep! Who all know him, knows that is pretty major. He's just overloaded and wanting to come home sooo bad. He said, "Miss, I just don't want to do this anymore, I want to come home.... I want to come home." And of course, I tell him... "So do I babe, So do I."

Well I would appreciate it very much if you guys could have Nick in your prayers to protect him while he's overseas, as well as him on his hundreds of dangerous missions he will be on and is now on. We cannot control the enemy, so when one of our loved ones get hurt... They have no sympathy for that, to them Nick is just another obstacle that needs to be defeated.. To us, he's a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a best friend... If we put him in our prayers (please do), then it'll be that much harder for the enemy to touch him so he can come home safely to his friends and family. Personally, I'm scared to death... It's nerve racking when he writes to tell me he's going on a week long mission to hunt down IEDs (car bombs).. It makes my heart drop to my knees... Nick needs all of your guys support and prayers.. I recieved a letter from Nick questioning if signing up for the Army was such a big mistake because he had to leave his family behind.. He's getting homesick... If everyone could stop by his myspace and give him some words of encouragement, I think that would help him know that his family and friends are still here to support him!

Here's a prayer I recite when I end my prayer for Nick's safety and strength..It would all be sooo greatly appreciated if you could say this prayer for Nick while he's out there fighting for yours and our freedom. He is who makes it possible to be who and what we are today. While we are sleeping, he's rushing to people's sides to save them, protect them, shield them. With our words, we can do the same for him... Thank You all soo much~

The Lords Prayer

Our father who art in heaven
hallowed be thy name
Thy kindom come
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those
who trepass against Us
Lead us not into temption but to deliver us
from evil
For thine is the kindom
and the power
and the glory
forever and ever.
Amen.

So, as a reminder, the power of prayer really is amazing.  It's more than religious, it's positive thought and positive energy.
Jay and I say our own prayer, and send positive loving energy to Nick while we do it.

If, when you do your prayers or energies, if you could please include strength for my little brother to make it through this.
He has 6 more months, and he's not sure if he'll be able to come back on R&R.  His new wife & baby are staying so strong for him, but we need him to be strong too.  He's such a kind sensitive soul, I hate to see him like this....

We thank you more than we could ever express.
