Fate? Coincidental?

"Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Consider it coincidental, or an act of mercy. As I've decided to go to grad school for a MA in English and in Teaching on Friday, an opportunity was presented to me immediately. I was at the Filipino Community Center for an event when I stumbled upon a prominent and active member of the community--who also happened to work as an executive dean for Seattle Community College. During the conversation, he commended the youth for doing good work in the community. He's seen me around the center often, randomly volunteering for an event, or now as a member of its board. He asked about my future plans, told him I plan on going to grad school; he asked in what? I said, in English, to teach. He gave me a contact at UW, told me to mention his name--she might be able to help me with scholarships. He proceeded to give me his business card, and at the very gist of it, I think he just told me to give him a call after I get my MA for a job!

All in one day: I decided I am going to grad school, earned my parents' support after I told them, and am encouraged by a member of the community to go for it.

Tell me I'm not reading into this too much.
