definitely, maybe.

I'm a sucker for the underlying romantic plots. Even bigger plus when such plots are stuffed in intelligent, mystery or historical fiction. I love it when the romance doesn't compose the chunk of the main plot, but rather it's the spice that makes the story interesting. For example, in Dan Brown's Angels and Demons, two unlikely strangers become involved in a quest to unveil the conspiracies of the Catholic church. Somehow, somewhere and/or sometime during their quest they eventually become involved with each other.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that it's what I look for in life. But not in the way that most romantic comedies go--the kind where love is the main course--it's the only one that sustains and drives, no more and no less. I always had a problem with those. Love shouldn't be the only thing, right? There's also life that surrounds it, ambitions to fulfill, goals to achieve, people to serve, take care of, a world to help. Life happens and changes and love should change along with it.

Damnit! I've been watching or reading too much of these things.
