I'm not seeing how "Journey Trough Space", "Escapees from the Parallel Worlds", and "Evil Spirit of the Dead are rip-offs of what you claim they're ripping off. And while "Parkulab van Gart" is an obvious knockoff of Jason Voorhees, what does that story specifically have to do with Jason Takes Mahattan?

Of course you're not seeing it - you can't read Russian :) strannik01 May 1 2011, 22:53:53 UTC
I got all that from the plot summaries on the top of each page. I suppose I could have translated them, but I was kind of lazy.

I can't read the original Russian, but the internet does provide translations. :)

I still don't buy "Journey Through Space" and "Evil Spirit of the Dead". Whoever wrote this makes thse claims, but doesn't expand of them, and the "similarities" certainly aren't refleced in the art. Especially the claim that April is filling the role of Ripley. She isn't seen in a single image in that book.

And then there's the claim that "Escapees from the Parallel World" is based not on Ghostbuster, but on the original novel it's secretly based upon. There is no novel that Ghostbusters is secretly adapted from.

Sorry, I'm being way too picky. :)
