And on a lighter side.
During and after college, I used to work for Demos Express, a company that basically sent out contractors to stores to hand out samples of everything from snacks to cologne. (This was the source of
tweelore's "In Soviet Russia, we fire Jewel" story she still loves telling people to this day - but that's a whole other post).
Being a pack rat that I am, I saved a lot of non-perishable sample items. Including cups, table cloths, T-shirts and... extra-large toilet paper rolls.
When I moved to Chicago in April 2012, I still had two packages worth of those rolls. I didn't have to buy any toilet paper... until now. On Saturday night, the last of those rolls ran out.
Still, it took me four years to run through all that toilet paper. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.
