My landlord claims I didn't pay my rent in full (even though my check cleared)
So I got a notice from the company that owns the building where I loive, saying that I didn't pay my full August rent (i.e. that I was $90 short). It was a "pay within the next five days or we'll sue" notice. Which they didn't deliver until three days after the date on the notice.
Here is the thing, though. I double-checked my bank records, and not only did I pay my rent in full, but they deposited that check six days before the date on the notice. So I don't know what the toss they're talking about.
Since the company's office is closed for the weekend, I'm going to have to try to figure this out on Monday morning. Hopefully, it will be resolved quickly and painlessly.
