A benind-the-scenes look at the news from a news anchor - that she filmed while she was anchoring

Feb 02, 2016 08:37

I was up a bit earlier than usual this morning because I thought I was going to cover an 8:30 AM meeting (turned out I wasn't). To get myself at least somewhat awake before I had to take off to go to the burbs, I tuned in to ABC7's morning news.

During the brief segment on Groundhog Day, anchor Judy Hsu was very conspicuously typing on her phone - and very conspicuously not quite in the shot. She mention that she was posting something on Facebook. When I checked her professional Facebook page later, I discovered that she posted what she posted.

I've seen a lot of behind-the-scenes footage of news programs, but I can't think of any other time I've seen behind the scenes footage that was partially shot during the actual newscast... from one of the anchors' point of view.

On the set at ABC 7 Chicago... Big weather reveal...
