Christina Hendricks as Mera (from Aquaman)? I can see it
A while back, comic book artist Yasmin Liang (who I suspect was Yazzle from the original Scans_Daily, but I'm not sure) did her own take on the design for Mera, Aquaman's love interest/wife.

These, in my unhumble opinion, are pretty cool designs. Not surprising, since her character designs got plenty of online attention even before she became a professional.
More recently, Liang did something interesting. In response to fan questions, she decided to draw what Christina Hendricks would look like as Mera.

And that got me thinking... At first, Hendricks doesn't seem all that Mera-like, aside from hair color. But then, when we started hearing rumors that Jason Momoa will play Aquaman in the upcoming Batman/Superman movie, I didn't think he was a good fit either... but it kind of grew on me. I could see it working.
And looking at Liang's sketches, Hendricks as Mera... Yeah. I can see it.
