Back into track after a long weekend. Everybody's talking about one thing and one thing only: the elections, which are in two days. I didn't vote on 2001, which surprised the blokes I was living with back then. I had no idea who was everyone and what it would change to vote for a party or the other. This year, however, I've actually registered to ( Read more... )

Monster Raving Looney are the only bastards you can actually trust, you know. All others...you know.

You are a Monster Raving Loony. I can't believe you're rubbishing your vote like that. It's not as if you ever drive through Milton Keynes anyway.

I still haven't decided how I'm voting.

Where are you living? Muggle or wizarding world?

Primrose Hill.

I restrict my time in the wizarding world to brief forays into the Banshee or the shops on Diagon Alley for interesting purchases. It's just far too mad for me, and also robes aren't very flattering, are they?

Half the people I know are wizards though, so I suppose I'm stuck.

You?

I don't know, I haven't worn robes in so long! I better not tell my parents that, although I think they've already sussed that out. Ravenclaws. Well, I'm sure you know all about them, eh?

I'm living up in Nottingham, and have been for, I've to think on this... five years and some months. Since the war ended. I live with my girlfriend, Irene.

Sometimes I wish I had absolutely no knowledge of Ravenclaws at all.

Nottingham? What are you doing all the way up there? What's Irene like?

Complete chance, actually! I was living in Manchester around 1999, and I overheard someone in the street speaking about Nottingham being a nice place for students. I visited the city before actually moving here and I liked it. So here I am!

Irene's very open-minded and patient, and knows how to have fun on top of that. And if you mean physically, she's as tall as me and has a bit of pink in her hair.

Heh! I agree with Justin, that's rubbishing your vote.

What, it doesn't say anything to let it be known that you'd rather have someone who supports the use of chickens as legal tender instead of the people currently in power?

I think it says that you wouldn't mind if the world that we know was immerged in chaos and whimsicality. And that's one of those things that are smashing only in theory.

I like chaos. But I think it says 'well, it can't get much worse. Might as well have the crazies who are honest about their craziness and mostly harmless about same.'

No one dies when chickens fly.
