The Writing Information Meme

Pillaged from ithildyn, a veeeeeery long meme. Everything you ever wanted to know about my writing and many things you didn't.

What's the last thing you wrote?
Turn It Up To Eleven

Was it any good?
Tons of Comments tell me so.

What's the first thing you ever wrote that you still have?
I know I wrote this Bonanza thing when I was a preteen. So wish I could find it. I wish I still had some of my old journals but they are gone.

Write poetry?
Does bastardizing Dr. Seuss for my NCIS story Gibbs I Am count?

Angsty poetry?
Nah.

Most fun character you ever wrote?
Dean/Chloe because they're tons of fun together.

Most annoying character you ever wrote?
Wow this is tough because I tend to avoid characters I don’t like. Maybe Joe Dawson. Not that he’s annoying - I just don’t feel I have his voice down well

Best plot you ever wrote?
That would have to be from my Immortal!Dean series: Waiting on the World to Change. This was the story where I explained how Immortals were part of the Supernatural world and really tied SPN and HL together in a way that made sense to me (and my readers apparently).

Coolest plot twist you ever wrote?
Not so much a twist but strange crack - A Muse Explains it All

How often do you get writer's block?
Not that often but more often than I’d like

How do you fix it?
I think it just goes away on its own but it does help to feed my muse cheese [g].

Do you type or write by hand?
I used to write everything long hand when I started LJ now it’s 90% typing. I keep a journal around to jot ideas it a computer isn’t available

Do you save everything you write?
Yes on two computers and all my journals since I started posting on a regular basis

Do you ever go back to an old idea long after you abandoned it?
I just posted a story that had been WIP on my hard drive for almost 9 months because I was inspired to pick it up again.

What's your favorite thing that you've written?
The chapters I contributed to 5times Immortal!Dean met meta!Chloe with pen37 because it brought Chloe into the Immortal!Dean world and it was the first time I wrote Methos.
Empty Nest because it’s just funny and really kicked off my Watcher!Abby Series even though it is basically a Highlander story.
5 times Dean got fired and One time he quit because it was the first thing I ever posted and if it hadn’t gotten such a great response, I’m not sure I would have continued.

What's everyone else's favorite thing that you've written?
I would have to say Since I found Serenity. It really seems to have attracted a lot of attention.

Also, Turn It Up To Eleven. My new MacGyver/SPN story. I’ve had a ton of new people comment on it. People I’ve never seen on my LJ before so that’s really cool.

Do you ever show people your work?
Yes, My family has read my stuff. Plus a few RL friends.

No horror! It’s all Scifi fantasy

Ever written romance or teen angsty drama?
Does Chloe and Dean count? No not really.

What's one genre you have never written, and probably never will?
A Muse Explains it All, explains what I won’t write.

Quote something you've written.
I really enjoy this silly conversation from my first attempt at Wee!Chesters. It’s from 5 Times Dean Talked to Sam About Babies

“Babies, Dean. How to they get here?”

Dean sputtered. His mouth opened and closed as he tried to think of the best story to tell Sam. “Ask Dad.” He finally decided.

“Dad’s not here. Don’t you know?” Sam asked quietly. Disappointment lined his small face. “I thought you knew everything.”

Dean straightened up in his chair, indignant at the idea that he lacked this knowledge. “Of course I know. I’m the big brother, ain’t I?”

Sam’s eyes lit up. “So?” he waved his hands at Dean encouraging him to share this great secret.

Dean had never had the fairy tales. Dad always told him the truth about everything but he couldn’t tell Sam how it really worked. Sammy still had the fairy tales.

Dean cleared his throat. “When a man and a woman fall in love, they get married. When they want a baby, they go outside and wish on a shooting star.” He began.

“And then it gets delivered like the mail?” Sam interrupted.

“No, dorkface. They go to a doctor and he gives it to them. That’s why women always have to go to the hospital to get their babies.” Dean explained. He smiled to himself. That sounded like a good story.

“Is that what Mom and Dad did?” Sammy asked seriously.

Dean frowned. He didn’t like thinking about mom. He pushed the feeling down.

“Yeah.” He shrugged. “They made the perfect wish and got me. Not sure what went wrong when they wished for you.”
