JDM's character on Grey's was what got me to finally watch SPN. I'd resisted before since I hated Dean from Gilmore Girls, and from what I'd seen in promos, Sam seemed very Dean like. So SPN bumped CSI from my viewing schedule LOL
I had a friend who watched tell me all about JDM's story arc because i just couldn't watch but was curious about all the positive press JDM was getting for the role.
I watched that show once. About ... two weeks before that retarded episode of SPN where they were mocking the other shows against them on Thursdays. Jesus Christ ... it's seriously a massive cheesey soap fest of One Life To Live proportions in primetime.
It was a retarded episode but captured Gray's perfectly and I love SPN for that. I figured GA wasn't my thing and everything I've ever heard about it just confirms that its not a show I need to waste time on
I don't like that show either D: We were at this party once and it was like a family party, and my friend had season 1 and just started playing all of the episodes.
I was sleepy so I stayed under blankets and watched it, and it made me hurt cause it was so cheesy and childlike in my opinion D:
I didn't tell my friend this of course, but I never did watch it after that xD
um. My first reaction was 'noooo! how can you not like gray's anatomy?'
then I read your reasons for it, and I must say, I can understand you. I find it very interesting how stuff surrounding a show in one country might put someone off it, while the absence of these things in another country makes it so very popular and loved. (of everything you point out, the only thing we learned about here was the homophobia, and that only through people who keep track of things on the net)
The funny thing is, here Boston Legal and Grey's are bought by the same channel, so there never would be a chance of conflicting schedules, lol. Supernatural is on another channel, but one hour later, so no conflict there either. In fact, we'll watch Grey's and then Supernatural right after, it's quite convenient. :P
The first few seasons. I adored the show. It was probably my favourite thing on TV. I still enjoy the show, but it just hasn't been the same for me since Addison left. I still rewatch my S1 & 2 DVDs, and really hope to get back to writing my Grey's/Highlander stories again.
