The muse has gone on an extended holiday. So after seeing this meme floating around the flist I thought maybe it would get me jump stated. Because I've written a grand total of 170 words in 2010 .

If you could have me write a fic specifically for you, what would it be like? Fandom, characters/pairing, genre, plot elements,...what's your ideal fic

I would love to see Castle going to DC to maybe research how the feds handle their forensics investigations, leading him to observe Abby. Maybe even the arrangements could be worked out between Methos and Richie if you wanted to do it in your Watcher!Abby 'verse. He could possibly be looking for inspiration for a 2nd series to write, alternating books with his Nicki Heat books. Imagine all the Gibbs glares!

Now That is a fun idea. Though I doubt Castle would ever get Gibbs to allow a ride along. OTOH maybe Castle knows Tim. As a fellow writer they may have crossed paths. That might be fun

Actually I think DiNozzo would be hitting on Kate and make the fatal mistake of confusing her with Nikki Heat. And that would not end well.

I may be an optimist, but I think DiNozzo has a better grasp on reality {movie characters =/= real people} than Castle does.

Tony hitting on Kate, well, that's entirely possible.

I just meant that Tony might assume that Kate is as sexually free as her character Nikki Heat and easy to tumble into bed. I did not mean that Tony would actually think that Kate WAS Nikki Heat.

Actually I don't see it as a mental disconnect. Nikki Heat is sexy, mysterious, promiscuous (whatever) and is based on Kate. It would be natural to assume that Kate is all those things because many of her personality traits are incorporated into Nikki. It would be funny to have Kate set him straight about how she is and isn't similar to her fictional counterpart.

hm. that's true.

(but DiNozzo hasn't seemed to have trouble distinguishing reality from fiction onscreen - Tim has (ie his own book))

we should probably agree to disagree before you throw Castle at me (though Beckett would thank you eternally for doing that)

Ooohh, or maybe Castle and Tim meet up at a mystery writer's convention and Abby is there to support McGee. I'm not even really looking for a Castle/Abby ship, but I just think those two interacting could be hilarious. Plus I could totally see Abby and Rick's mom hitting it off.

The mystery writers convention was the first thing that popped in my mind.too. I thought about throwing Temperance Brennan in there too. A murder and a mystery writers convention and every TV character whose also a novelist is there LOl. I think that could be a lot of fun
