Leverage - 1x08 - The Mile High Job - The TV Addict Reports

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I adore Leverage even when said show has a stupid episode as it did last night. There were still moments that made me laugh out loud.

For example: Nate is going through his fake IDs which read - Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy and Tom Baker at which point Sophie then identifies herself as Sarah Jane. I mean who wouldn't love a show with shout outs to Dr. Who.

As for the rest of the episode - well it had some good character moments up until the end which was just ridiculous. I mean landing a plane on a narrow highway bridge - so very very cliche and if they had enough power to land why not just pull up and keep flying. And of course in this day and age - I do not believe for one second that anyone could sabotage a black box and crash a plane. Maybe becasue I'm watching 24 and that show is explaining just how complicated it is to hack into a plane's systems and get through their security programs unnoticed. (BTW - great season of 24 so far and of course Peter Wingfield is just an added bonus.)

Plus you want to get rid of someone and your solution is to crash a plane - seriously there are much easier ways to make people disappear.

On the positive side the UST between Sophie and Nate is just wonderful. I really like these two as a couple. Eliot was his bad ass self again and Chris Kane is just so freakin' hot!. Also loved Hardison infiltrating the corporate offices and posing as a worker drone like he'd always been there. The way his face lit up when the female co-worker starts spouting WoW references - too cute. But the best moment was when Parker, posing as a flight attendant, gives the preflight speech. Reminding everyone that even though their cushion may be used as a flotation devise it really doesn't matter becasue the impact will probably kill them all.

So in summary great show, great charaters, lame plot in this episode. Watch this show people, it's a lot of fun!!.

I really need to think about writing in this fandom. Like i need another one and of course Eliot would be a great Immortal...No, No more Immortals...sorry almost forgot my New Year's resolution
