I woke up this morning really missing Gainesville.
Maybe it was because I watched a bunch of Hal McGee videos last night in a heavy stupor. Maybe it's because that's where I got to see the Flaming Lips for free on a field. Maybe it's because Fest VI weekend was the best three days of last year, without a fucking doubt. Maybe it's because that's where I played a show for the first time in years, and got only the most awesome, positive reaction. Maybe it's because of awesome people who let you stay at their place, give you pizza, and have awesome conversations running until the wee hours of morning. Maybe it's because Gainesville, despite being in Florida, is so much different than Tampa Bay.
