i got to thinking, people always say oh when will i meet my perfect match, but does perfect really mean perfect? i dont think it does. I heard from somewhere a loosely paraphrased phrase: 'You like and respect people for their good attributes, and love them for their quirks'. Same thing as i remember in good will hunting (i think it was) robin williams was talking about his wife, how the small things that dont really fall into the realm of being respected are the reasons why he loved his wife - how in the middle of the night his wife farted and then woke up and asked him to try not to fart, and that was the quirk that he loved about his wife.
I think people get disillusioned when they think of a perfect match, perfect match means have a lot of things the pair can do together, and have the annoying things that you can fight over and make up, and have things to change to show how much you love your partner.
I want to get the original phrase dang it, 'You like a person for his/her prowess, and you love him/her for their.. dang it! what does a word that doesnt sound too negative but refers to like the things that you wouldnt like people to know, the general term for it
