This week's ruminations about the other texas university experience
alpha) only asian men can pull off leather pants. no all of them, mind you, but the property is exclusive to that class of humanity.
beta) professor's comments along the lines of "you can have a very beautiful proof, and that's nice and all, but eventually you want to do something with it." How many other words can you think of that would sensibly replace "proof"?
gamma) I'm not one for inhibitions. I find them pestering little things that generally deserve conscious effort to eliminate. But it's just weird to talk to someone when you have your wang hanging out. Public Service Announcement: if a guy has his wang out and about, it's wang time. There is a very limited set of activities one regularly performs with a dong. None of these go particularly well with a normal, everyday conversation about school. And most especially without those little divider things. Seriously, members only.

In other news, I think I managed to use, in but the first two days of school, nearly every theory/math/logic class I've ever taken. Abstract algebra, discrete math, data structures, algorithms, formal languages and automata, and every shred of symbolic logic available to my feeble mind.
My brain muscle hurts.
Sure, I didn't use calculus, but that's not integral to the stuff I do. Continuous math is often tangent to CS theory, though there are a series of exceptions. And it's not like I'd derive any more pleasure from adding it in. I think I'm at my limit already. As, I'm sure, are my readers.
