Am officially tired of shitty gun safety in the vids. And not out of standard itiots, these are supposed to be military or police. They use all the maneuvers appropriate to their trade. Thus, if there is ever an occasion to lower a hammer, the proper thing to do is to point the barrel away from anything you aren't keen on shooting. I have never seen this step followed in any movie or TV show using the device.
Firearms, like cars, knives, and sex lives, are as precisely as stupid as the people behind them. It thus behooves us not to spread around misunderstanding and misinformation about such subjects.
